Mike Sugar is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. He’s like a very cool one-man band. You will enjoy his brand of eclectic pop/rock/originals.
Mike Sugar began exploring sound and musical structures as a kid in New Orleans. He built on that foundation by performing and recording for many years after moving to California. Recently a new direction emerged from solo gigs combining modern musical tools like the electric bass-cello with acoustic guitar. Spanning a range from rootsy to ambient, these solo gigs are intimate and dynamic. Improvisations build in layers then move right into genre jumping original songs as well as classic and deep-cut covers.
