Saturday Night Live featuring Stan Erhart & Michael Warren
Just Announced! Stan Erhart & Michael Warren (former bass player for the late, great Merle Warren) will perform tonight!
Stan’s roots go back to the family farm in Kansas; where hard work and play were accompanied by John Deere tractors, V-8 cars, & country guitars. His …brother’s baritone horn was the first instrument, followed by guitar, vocals, sax, flute, and an interest in keyboards. He spent his college years studying music in Michigan, later moving to Chicago to play its clubs, and finally to San Francisco to form one of the hardest working bands in the Bay Area. They have a Grand Ole Time …
Dishin’ up a great big plate of Roots Rockin’ Grooves …
With a little of everything on the side!
“San Francisco singer/songwriter Stan Erhart exists in that blues-rock space occupied by John Hiatt, Warren Zevon, and Dave Alvin. With his weary, gravelly voice, Erhart exists well outside of the pop mainstream, but should find fans among those who seek a rootsy, American style …”

December 26 (Boxing Day), 8 – 9:30 p.m.
Eat Your Heart Out Joan Rivers | An Evening of Off-Key Cabaret with Lynn Ruth Miller
An evening of off-key cabaret glorifying old age and reveling in the disasters it brings to the human form.
Host of our monthly comedy show (1st Thursday) and co-host of our new Salon Series, “WIne & Conversation,” (3rd Tuesday), Lynn Ruth Miller, will help you celebrate Boxing Day with the original songs and outrageous comedy that made her an international cabaret comedian. She hit the headlines in EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, when she jumped out of a cake (almost) and removed her clothes (not quite) on every possible stage. Now she is a legend who wraps eager fans in spandex and puts wigs on the unsuspecting.
This is musical comedy at its worst proving that even though your body parts drop to your ankles, they still can move with enough zest raise an eyebrow if nothing else.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING:
With the modesty of youth gone, she grapples life’s dilemmas head on, and with a song. Based on her own colorful experiences, her audience are taught self help cures for impotence, incontinence, and how to enjoy old age. Musical Theater Matters
This show is an act of belated rebellion against the invisibility of older
people, deriding the nursing-home mentality and celebrating the joys of
Spandex and sparkle. Any stand-up, though providing her with this definite
point of view, now plays second fiddle to the set-piece song-and-dance
numbers. Steve Bennett, Chortle.
I was thoroughly entertained by Lynn Ruth Miller’s humor, her attitude, her wickedly clever punch lines and her obvious skill as a comedian. Three Weeks. Edinburgh 2011.

The legendary Carlos Guitarlos is recognized as a gifted artist across many musical genres including blues and Americana roots rock.
His voice is cracked and supple, like an old leather jacket. His guitar playing is fluid. His songs are real-life slices of life that discuss hard drinking, hard lovin’ and hard livin’. – Creemmagazine.com
(Guitarlos was a member of Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs) The band …. was at the epicenter of Los Angeles’ club scene during a brief era when the roots-rock and punk-music movements collided, forging groups like the Blasters, Los Lobos, X and Fear. These bands were fraternities of elemental musicians, contemptuous of stardom, seeming to long only for one transcendent moment on stage.

Opening Reception for
Wildlife and Wild Places – Photography of Jason Thompson
Jason Thompson shoots under the pen name Mojoscoast, in reference to Mojo, his long-time Blue-Heeler/Border Collie companion, and his love for the coast.
Originally from Ohio, Jason landed in Pacifica in 1997, where he spent 7 years. Inspired by watching the ocean transform throughout the seasons, his first work
focused on shooting the water and the locals that plied her waves and shores.

Thorogood, the grittiness of Chris Robinson, and sultriness of Ben
Harper, Jones’ sound has real dimension. Live, Jones is a natural. His
engaging stage presence alone is proof that he’s at ease and confident
with who he is as a musician. (Tanya Fuller – Performer Magazine)
